The Glorious Cathedral Of Our Lady Museum (Onze Lieve Vrouwe-Kathedraal) Is A Haunting Attraction
Located in Antwerp, Belgium Cathedral of our lady is a Roman Catholic Church. The construction of this Old Catholic destination was started in the year 1352 and the first stage of construction ended in the year 1521 and never got completed. Jan, Pieter Appelmans were the great architects of its Gothic style and the touch up and designs were also given by Baroque with the help of Painter Peter Paul Rubens and the artists Otto Van Veen, Jacob de Barker and Marten de Vos. This beautiful Cathedral is listed in one of the World Heritage Sites. Most of the furniture was destroyed in fire in the year 1533 while the original Gothic features of this church were destroyed by people in the 16th century. Catch The Amusing Statue Of The Pissing Boy (Manneken Pis)
It is one of the famous landmarks in Brussels and is also known as Petit Julien in French. It is a fountain made up of bronze showing a naked little boy urinating into the fountain’s basin. It was placed in the year 1618 and was designed by Jerome Duquesnoy. It is located at the junction point of Rue de l Etuve. To reach at this spot one should take left lane from Brussels Town Hall from the Grand Place and a walk able distance of few hundred meters to reach the spot it will be visible on the left corner. The Flanders Fields is the name given to the museum after the famous poem made by Canadian John McCrae. Flanders Field Museum is devoted to the study of World War I and occupies the second floor of the Cloth Hall Ypres in Belgium. It was virtually destroyed during the Battles of Ypres but was reconstructed later. The poem of Flanders Fields shows the history of the soldiers of the World War I.
