Temple of Aphaia

The temple of Aphaia is the most “delightful Doric temples of Greece”. This temple is situated on top of a pine clad hill of Mesagro. The excellent views of the Saronic Gulf and the sorrrounding areas are a mindblowing feature of the temple.

The “excavations on the site denote the use of the hill as a place of worship since the Bronze Age while the first architectural elements were erected on site in the 7th century BC”. It is believed that this place was a worship site for Zeus or Athena, the daughter of Zeus.

Delphi

Delphi is an important tourist destination in Greece. It is one of the most popular archaelogical sites in the country. It is believed that this place was inhabited as way back as the Neolithic Era. This place was considered to be the centre of the world or more famously as the “navel”. The temple of Apollo and that of Tholos is placed here.

Dimini is a place where you can find the archaelogical evidence of the ancient Greece settlements. This place is located in Thessaly which is 7 km away from the modern city of Volos in Greece. This place has gradually over the years have become an important destination for tourists visiting Greece.
