The Museum of Fine arts, or the Kunsthistorisches Museum as it is referred to, is one of Vienna’s most important as well as most visited museums and art galleries. The Museum has a history that dates back to when it was opened in eighteen ninety one, and houses the very best of what the Emperors part of the House of Habsburg have collected over the centuries of the reign. The Kunsthistorisches Museum was established by Emperor Franz Joseph I in eighteen ninety one. The museum was opened along with the Naturhistorisches museum, which is housed in an identical building. The Kunsthistorisches Museum is the "Museum of Art History". Popularly it is known as the "Museum of Fine Arts". This Museum is located in Vienna which is in Austria. It is housed in its celebratory lavish building on Ringstraße. The top of the building is crowned with an octagonal dome. This is one of the world’s foremost museums of fine arts and decorative arts.
