Tate Modern: A unique attraction of London

The Tate Modern is a national museum of International modern art of Britain in London. It is a part of the group with Tate Britain, Tate Liverpool, Tate St lves, and Tate Online, which is now commonly known as the Tate. The galleries of Tate Modern are housed in the earlier Bankside Power Station. Sir Giles Gilbert Scott who was the architect of Battersea Power Station originally designed this station. The galleries was built into two different stages between the years 1947 and 1963. The building was later converted by architects Herzog & de Meuron and contractors Carillion.
